Our Mission for Education

“Our mission is Christ-centered education of the whole person.”

At Palouse Hills Christian School, our mission is to encourage students to accept Jesus as their savior and to cultivate a Christ-centered worldview. As we encourage each student to think, react, and create--we respect their individuality.

We strive to educate the whole person by supporting the development of the physical, mental, and spiritual powers. We aim to help each student grow in a life of faith—answering the call of God with habits of competence, resilience, cooperation, and respect. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:

  • develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men as stated in Matthew 2:37-39,
  • master the basic academic skills,
  • and cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessing God intended.

Our Vision for Education

Higher than the highest human thought is God’s ideal for His children. Through theory, practice, and example we endeavor to challenge each student to be and to improve on his or her personal best. It is our aim to empower each student to build a life-long relationship with Jesus and dedication to a life of service in their families and communities.

Educational Philosophy

As Seventh-day Adventist Christian educators, we believe the foundation of a successful life is the understanding of the universal truth that God is love.  God grants us freedom of choice. He teaches us and invites our response, but does not force us to do things His way. God’s patience and acceptance are character traits we want our students to learn and  practice in a community of faith.
We believe God created humans to be social beings. With this in mind, we challenge students to think, respond, and develop their individual gifts and talents in an educational  community of respect.

We encourage each student to develop attitudes of cooperation, responsibility, honesty, integrity, and orderliness.

I have no greater joy than]this:
to hear of my children walking in the truth.
3 John 1:4

OUR "PROUD" PRINCIPLES

"BEING PROUD" IS THE GOOD FEELING YOU HAVE WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING WELL.

                                                                P.    Precision: doing everything carefully
                                                                R.    Relationship: caring for others--like Jesus cares for us
                                                                O.   Order: doing things in steps that make sense
                                                                U.    Unity: working together like one body with one purpose
                                                                D.    Determination: working with stamina and endurance

The Palouse Hills Christian School operated in harmony with the guidance and direction
